If your audience isn't substantial or committed enough, or if your content doesn't adapt well to a paywalled, newsletter format, it might result in limited revenue and reach.

And while Substack currently offers a decent percentage of subscription fees to the authors, there's no guarantee these rates will remain favorable in the future, considering the increasing competition in the newsletter space.
