I have a younger brother (now around 35yo) who weighs around 400 pounds. He had lost nearly 200 pounds a couple of years ago after sensible eating and exercising. Unfortunately, the weight returned.
I couldn’t understand when he explained that he became more depressed when he had lost all that weight.
It’s definitely a very emotive topic and I’m reminded of Oprah’s struggles and honest discussions on the topic, along with all the psychological underpinnings.
