I don't follow hundreds of writers because it's just not possible to keep up.

The ones I follow I subscribe to their emails. I read and comment on the articles whose topics interest me. It's nothing personal if I don't get to read one of my follower's pieces, it's a more time management issue. There are some topics that just don't tickle my curiosity too. All in all though, I continue to follow and subscribe to all whom I follow, as I regard them all as talented writers.

I see people following "thousands" of writers. I just don't comprehend the logic behind this. But if that's your thing, whatever floats your boat I guess :)

P.S. If I had the time, I'd be following and subscribing to so many more writers.
