Today, there are so many blogs to choose from it’s difficult to see how you can carve out your own readership. You write incredible content, but you’re just hoping someone will read it. The idea of going viral? It’s almost incomprehensible.

What if I told you that you can create a viral post while still writing content for your target audience?

There’s no luck behind BuzzFeed magically going viral with quizzes, lists, and memes on a daily basis. They have a strategy. You can use strategy, produce proper content, and ride the viral wave. There are a few different ways to go viral, and while luck does play a small role, it’s your strategy that matters.

Right now, your goal is to go viral. I want you to change how you think about it — I want you to instead think of that goal as providing your audience with value. Isn’t that the core purpose of a blog in the first place?

You believe you have valuable information to provide to your target audience and you’ve chosen to disseminate that via a blog. You’ve been doing that, but no matter how great your content is, you haven’t managed to go viral. You need a concrete goal first.
