Here in Oz tipping has never been anywhere as big a phenomenon as it is in the U.S. You just pay your bill and off you go. You wanna leave a tip, no probs. There's never any expectation that the patron should leave a tip.

Tipping is deeply ingrained in American culture and has become a social norm in many situations where it may not be expected in other parts of the world.
