Excellent article Suzanne. Very insightful.

I have a younger brother who was a “breath-holder” until he was around 4 yo.

I’ll never forget when I had him on his bouncer once and he started crying uncontrollably and fainted on me. He literally went blue in the face. The Dr told my parents he was attention-seeking.

And I agree my friend,

  • “…often what people call addictions are compensatory strategies for emotional traumas and still unmet emotional needs.”
