Controlling one's emotions in the face of infatuation or feelings of love can be an overwhelmingly difficult task. The heart tends to take the reins, leading us towards an intoxicating blend of exhilaration, fear, and vulnerability.

The chemicals flooding our brains during these stages can make us feel as if we're on an emotional rollercoaster, causing logical thinking to often take a backseat. Our emotions become magnified, causing minor issues to feel like major crises and small joys to feel like monumental victories.

This emotional amplification, paired with a tendency to idealize the object of our affections, can make managing these feelings seem like trying to tame a wild, unpredictable storm.
