As humans, we have a natural desire to be praised and recognized for our efforts and accomplishments. This desire can become so strong that it makes it challenging for us to accept criticism, even when it's constructive.

Criticism can feel like a personal attack on our sense of self-worth and competence, causing us to feel defensive and resistant to change.

It takes humility and an open mindset to overcome our love of praise and use criticism as an opportunity for growth and self-improvement.
